Three Swallows
£270.00
This is a mobile made by laminating natural wood veneers. The three swallows will sit happily in the corner of a room or hang in a window or stairwell. Originally inspired by a poem by Ted Hughes, three Swallows float on very light air currents. Made by laminating natural wood veneers.
Description
“They’ve made it again,
Which means the globe’s still working”
This mobile was loosely inspired by the Ted Hughes poem “The Swifts” .
The birds, however, are Swallows because they are the birds which, for me, show the arrival of spring and they always call to mind the lines above.
The birds are made from black walnut, black walnut veneer and sycamore veneer, with a little bit of padauk at the head.
The price shown is for three swallows but I can make the mobile with other multiples, a singleton, a pair or any number that suits. Price on application
Please note, my mobiles are only suitable for indoor locations.
